Welcome to Our Professional Network
What do we do?
Enable university staff to engage with colleagues in the field of Indigenous student success and learning support across Australian universities. Share insights, discuss best practices, and elevate the educational experience for all. Your contribution matters.
Where has the network come from?
This network emerged from a collaboration between Professor Martin Nakata, Deputy Vice Chancellor Indigenous Education and Strategy (James Cook University), Chanelle van den Berg Pro Vice Chancellor First Nations (Murdoch University) and Professor Braden Hill Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students, Equity and Indigenous) Edith Cowan University. Starting in 2016 with a series of annual symposia, in 2023 inaugural National Indigenous Learning Support Conference was established 2023. The 2nd Conference is still be held in WA in 2024.
This professional network aims to accelerate and maintain the conversations from these critical dialogues.
Why join in?
Join a community dedicated to fostering impactful change, enhancing learning outcomes and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in higher education.
This is an opportunity to engage with evidence-based professional learning and hear from colleagues across the nation to discuss best practices and elevate Indigenous student success.
Throughout the year we will be hosting a number of sessions available to all who sign up to the National Indigenous Learning Support Network.
